Wabasha Caves

What a great building hugs the sandstone cliffs along Wabasha Street in Saint Paul. Built as a facadé for the huge interior caves, it is truly beautiful. It's hard to see all the exquisite details when driving by, but when you stop to sketch you can see stained glass windows, multi-colored brickwork, and an interesting arrangement of building's facadé. A two-story office space is an unfortunate addition jutting out of the front. The building continues with a grand entrance to the left that my page was too small to capture at this moment. I must go back.
