I'm thrilled to have been selected as an Alaska artist-in-residence at Ernest Gruening State Park, 24 miles north of Juneau, during September. Gruening was the governor of Alaska from 1939-1953. He wrote the manifesto for statehood in this his family's cabin. I can't wait to surround myself with his spirit and capture the environment in watercolors. Truly an honor.
